The quality of construction is excellent so I expected excellent results. The instructions are vague and even wrong in some cases. For example, the instructions told me to use spacers that were not included with the tool and not even available. After spending about 3 hours trying to get the bit centered properly on some test pieces, I gave up. I was using oak and the cutter left a lot of stringy material in the joint. It often burned the wood, regardless of feed rate and RPM. It does produce a tight joint, but I found it impossible to get the top and bottom surfaces of the boards to line up. They were always off by about 1/32 to 1/16". No matter what I did, I couldn't get it any better than that. I even tried running a single board through, then cutting it in half and mating the two halves. This should have produced a perfect fit because the fingers were cut all at once, from one board. Results were still poor. A total waste of money that will sit in a drawer for the rest of my life, never to be used again.
