(More customer reviews)I purchased a pair of these Magnate (T & G) router bits to use on some 3/4" 4x8 T&G plywood sheets. I wanted to save the waste of cutoff material as the sheet cost was about $28 ea. I mainly used the bit to cut the groove, but also used the bit to cut a tongue a few times as well. The profile of the bit didn't match the sheet goods I purchased exactly, therefore the groove didn't slide 100% of the way into the tongue of the material purchased. However, it went in probably 85% making it close enough. Of course, when cutting both the T&G, the match was excellent.
The performance was excellent. The bit cut very smooth, didn't vibrate at all, and cut 100% of the depth easily in one pass against the edge of the plywood using a handheld router (Bosch 1617). Considering the bit's size and weight, I was impressed. The blade was very sharp and stayed that way throughout a rather large project.
I would definitely buy another bit from this company. I've used a lot of router bits and this one ranks near the top.
