(More customer reviews)Well, I've had this product since November 15th 2008. It worked great. This type of accessory is almost necessary if you're using wide blades to be able to cut the wood without burning it. However, this unit just broke on me. Apparently it is not built to withstand an environment of saw dust. Saw dust had been accumilating in the switch machanism for as long as I've had it. Of course, it goes un noticed because it's in the switch, not on it or next to it. Well today enough built up that it shorted the connection and fried the pcu board. So now I just have a router switch, it no longer varies the speed. Fuze still good though. But paying $30 a year isn't worth a variable speed controller. I have a dual vaccuum system in my router table that sucks saw dust under and over the router. So we're not talking about me dipping this controller in saw dust every day. If you can prevent saw dust from going anywhere near the switch, buy it but keep it clean. Otherwise, try a higher quality switch.
