(More customer reviews)I purchased this router specifically for use in a router table and so far it is worked nicely but only after a couple of issues were resolved. The main problem in my opinion is the cords small gauge and lack of a third wire for grounding. It has a three prong plug on a two wire cord ! The 24 gauge conductor is less than acceptable and must be replaced or could be a hazard. To verify this just remove the two screws that hold the switch cover and you will see the two wire cord.
After replacing the cord with one with a ground wire and mounting it in my router table with a variable speed switch it has worked surprisingly well. It has no trouble with 1/2" raised panel bits. The quarter inch collet has to be shimmed or knurled or it will not hold the bit tight.
Bottom line I would buy this router again , I would just plan on replacing the two wire cord with a suitable cord for the amperage. Remember ground - is a good thing !UPDATE 12/30/2010
place the 1/4" collet in your bench vise and give it a little squeeze - same for the 3/8" collet.
It tightens them right up without affecting run-out , and they now hold the bits without any issues.
