(More customer reviews)straight out of the package this set had two major defects:
1) the outer blades leave a little V-groove along both corners of the dado, about 1/32" deeper than the rest of the dado, so it looks like the dado has tiny little horns on it.
2) the 1/16" chipper cuts a groove just slightly deeper than the 1/8" chippers, resulting in a stripe (you guessed it!) about 1/16" wide and 1/32" deep.
needless to say, this does not make for a pretty dado, and it's getting returned.
i did call Timberline to verify that I was reading their instruction manual carefully, and they agreed that I had set up the tool correctly.
