(More customer reviews)I've bought many MANY router bits over the last couple of years and this MLCS flush bit takes the cake for price and quality.
Working mainly in MDF (production of speaker and subwoofer baffles, boxes, and other car audio installation accessories), this bit was purchased as a replacement for a Freud flush bit that I more or less wore out from using it on everything and this MLCS bit has done nothing but perform. From aluminum to pine, to MDF, it's cut smooth and produced a fantastic finish cut that requires no finish work whatsoever.
The TripleWing design seems to cut better then the traditional double fluted design that most flush bits have, especially though thicker material.
So far I've ran several hundred feet worth of material through this bit (including aluminum) and it is still as sharp as when it was new. I have yet to be disappointed in this bit in any way, shape, or form.
MLCS has made me a believer in their bits and I would not hesitate to purchase more from them. For the price, this bit can't be beat.
Pros:
Stays sharper longer then a few other "name brand" bits that cost twice as much.
TripleWing design produces a much smoother cut then traditional double or single flute designs.
A solid 2" cutting height speeds up production. I can stack two 3/4" thick pieces of material on top of my 1/2" thick template and cut two out at the same time.
Withstood several feet of 1/4" aluminum being fed into it at 32000 rpms and is still as sharp as it was when it was new!
