(More customer reviews)I've only had the pleasure to use this bit only a dozen or so time and with every use I am amazed.
Not many things require or need a 3/4" rabbet but when those times pop up I am glad to have this. The 3/4" deep rabbet that it produces in MDF, pine, particleboard, douglas fir, and most other soft woods is just beautiful. No tear out and great chip clearing. And with a cutting height just shy of 1" gives you a lot of flexibility.
Now I will say that when you first use this bit, it's a little unnerving because of it's massive size (a diameter of a little over 2") and weight (half a pound!). With that much mass spinning at 12,000+ RPMs it's makes you think twice about using it. Just remember that it's just another bit and really isn't anymore dangerous then most any other router bit. Use caution like you normally would and you will be pleased with the results.

One of only a handful of 3/4" rabbeting bits.
Well priced.
High quality tool (will definitely be buying more Magnate bits).
